Inovonics Model 222

222r.jpg (20260 bytes)

Key Benefits

  • “Audio mask” compliance processing that meets US and overseas AM transmission specifications.
  • Includes pre-emphasis, peak limiting and low-pass filtering.
  • Available in several versions to satisfy NRSC and CCIR
medium-wave and all short-wave cutoff characteristics.
The 222 was originally developed as a ‘post-processor’ to ensure US broadcasters’ compliance with FCC-mandated occupied-bandwidth regulations. It incorporates a fast, asymmetrical peak limiter, independent pre-emphasis-protection limiting, and a very sharp-cutoff low-pass filter with proprietary overshoot control.

The 222 finds ready application in a wide variety of AM broadcast situations. In addition to the NRSC 10kHz cutoff for medium-wave AM broadcasting in the US, any high-frequency protection characteristic between 4.5kHz and 15kHz can readily be accommodated to meet other domestic and overseas needs. Though the 222 is intended to provide basic final limiting, a ‘floating platform’ release characteristic yields sufficient program dynamics compression that often the unit can be run ‘barefoot’ between the console and transmitter with good results.

Inovonics Model 255  - Tri-Band / PWM Processor For FM

255r.jpg (29846 bytes)

Key Benefits

  • Aggressive 3-band processing for contemporary FM music formats
  • Feedforward pulse-width-modulation program gain control.
  • Use it with Inovonics’ Model 708 or other stereo generator.
Inovonics’ Model 255 is an ideal companion for standalone stereo generators or for exciters with built-in stereocoders. It offers slow, ‘gain-riding’ AGC and three bands of compression and limiting. A complement of hidden front-panel controls allows the user to tailor the processor’s sound ‘signature’ over a considerable range. The 255 is a “spectral loading” processor that helps maintain a consistent balance between program midrange and the frequency extremes.

Inovonics Model 260  - Tri-Band / PWM Processor For FM

260r.jpg (23117 bytes)

Key Benefits

  • A simple, multifunction ‘utility processor’ ideal for LPFM, TV audio and for uplink protection.
  • Stereo processing includes AGC, compression and limiting.
  • Very easy to set up and use.

The Model 260 satisfies basic processing needs in educational FM, TV sound and similar set-and-forget applications. Final limiting is performed in a split-band arrangement to protect the transmission pre-emphasis characteristic. User controls are restricted to input and output level adjustments; there are no controls affecting the ‘sound’ of the processor.

The 260 supplies comprehensive processing, or any of the functions may be defeated with jumpers on the rear panel. This allows the 260 to serve as an AGC-only, a peak controller-only, etc.

Inovonics Model 261 - Tri-Band / PWM Processor For FM

261f800.jpg (44814 bytes)

Key Benefits

  • All Digital Processing .
  • AES/EBU In and Out.
  • Easy Menu Setup.
DESCRIPTION:
The new 261 from Inovonics combines the three audio processing functions of gated, gain-riding AGC, program dynamic range compression and final peak control. The unit may be configured to provide a single basic function independently, or to utilize all processing options for comprehensive program audio control. This gives the broadcaster a simple, economical and unobtrusive means of normalizing and controlling audio levels in an all-digital or mixed-signal plant.
The DSP-based 261 affords the same versatile functionality of its predecessor, the Model 260, which has enjoyed a product life of more than 20 years. The 261 presents additional features, vastly improved performance, and ease of integration with today’s trend toward an all-digital broadcasting facility.

Inovonics Model 264  - Quad Processor

264f800.jpg (53815 bytes)

Key Benefits

  • A simple, multi-channel ‘utility processor’.
  • Dual Stereo or 4 Mono Cahnnels - includes AGC, compression and limiting.
  • Alarm Outputs
DESCRIPTION:
The 264 hosts four separate and independent channels of analog audio gain control. Used separately, the four channels are ideal for microphone leveling or similar monaural applications, and channels may also be selectively linked for dual-stereo or split mono/stereo program control.
The 264 operates entirely within the analog domain and utilizes colorless Class D (PWM) technology for stable and transparent operation. It employs a unique combination of peak and average response to program dynamics that delivers the gain-riding advantage of an intelligent AGC coupled with the tight peak control of a fast limiter. This particular combination of long- and short-term level correction normalizes the average-to-peak ratios of diverse audio sources to a common and natural-sounding value, giving a consistent level of subjective loudness without the need for excessive compression of program dynamics that can promote listener fatigue.

Inovonics Omega_FM  - All Digital FM Airchain Processor

omega_fmr.jpg (41917 bytes)

Key Benefits

  • All-digital FM-airchain with integrated audio processor
    and stereo-gen.
  • Analog and digital inputs; simultaneous and independent
MPX (composite) and AES (digital audio) outputs..
  • Simplified user interface.
  • Low latency – monitor off air!

Omega_FM is a full-featured FM processor/stereocoder of exceptional value. It does not use application-specific DSP chips, instead it applies PentiumŪ-class computing power directly to all processing and stereo-generating functions. Among the many other advantages, this architecture helps keep Omega_FM obsolescence-proof. Future upgrades are simply software uploads that do not require additional hardware or factory modifications to the unit.

User interface is simple and straightforward. Omega-FM may be used right out of the box with no computer or software commands required. Nevertheless, connecting a PC (or modem) and running the supplied software places almost all processing parameters under local (or remote) user control. Favorite setups may be added to the basic factory presets, creating a group of files that may easily be managed or shared among installations.

Despite its modest price, Omega_FM challenges the versatility and performance of any processor on the market.
