Model 3320 CAP-to-EAS Converter
The EAS 3320 CAP-to-EAS converter is the simplest, easiest upgrade for TFT of any EAS decoder to meet the FCC requirement for receiving CAP ("Common Alerting Protocol") messages. The Model 3320 continuously monitors two Internet/Ethernet CAP sources via two RJ-45 jacks to seek new emergency messages and generates an EAS protocol audio output for connection to existing FCC Type Certified EAS Decoders. The Model 3320 polls sources every few seconds for emergency messages. Additionally the can receive a CAP message using Simple Object Access Protocol ("SOAP") and is CAP 1.2 OASIS and IPAWS compliant.
